Animal Shelters

GoodMewsGood Mews offers an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro-Atlanta area by providing a no-kill, cage-free haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until placing them in permanent, loving homes.  Good Mews promotes public awareness regarding the value of pets, animal welfare, pet overpopulation, and quality human-animal companionship through education and outreach programs.

FurKidsFurkids operates the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast for rescued cats, and a no-kill division for dogs. At these locations, animals experience the best care in a loving, safe environment until they are adopted into forever homes. The Furkids mission is to help end pet overpopulation in Georgia through sterilization, high-quality adoption and by providing valuable spay/neuter services and pet care education to people in the community.

InspirePetRescueInspire Rescue is a non-profit organization with 3 basic missions: Rescue local homeless and abandoned dogs and cats. Provide fantastic pets to deserving families. Educate our community on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter and positive training techniques to ultimately reduce the number of animals killed in local shelters.

AtlantaPetRescueAtlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption (APRA) is a non-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats so they can be adopted into safe and loving forever homes. We provide the medical care and enrichment/training to make our animals adoptable pets. Our goal is to match them with owners who will properly care for them for the remainder of their lives.

HumaneSocietyCobbCountyThe Humane Society of Cobb County (HSCC) is a no-kill shelter whose mission is to promote humane welfare and responsible animal guardianship through educational community outreach, shelter, and spay/neuter programs. Services and programs include pet crisis counseling, guidance for pet owners in need, home-to-home placement, pet-assisted therapy, community education, pet sterilization programs, as well as lost and found, rescue, and adoption services.

CatsInTheCradleCats in the Cradle, Inc. is a cage-free, no-kill, all-volunteer, 501(3)© non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of stray and special needs cats and kittens.  CITC believes that all cats and kittens deserve the chance to live a life that is free of hunger, fear, pain and disease.

PawsAtlantaPAWS Atlanta is a private, not-for-profit animal welfare organization founded in 1966, originally as the DeKalb Humane Society. We provide love, nutrition, medical care and basic training to enrich the lives of homeless animals until permanent, safe homes can be found.
